We focus on providing food and compassionate services to as many hungry and homeless people
as we can, in all the places that we can and at all the times we possibly can.
FAMILIES
You may be surprised to learn that more than 50,000 people in Hillsborough County live in households of extreme poverty and chronic hunger. The sad reality is that many of our neighbors must choose between paying for food and other necessities such as shelter or medical care. As a result, nutritious meals are often sacrificed.
CHILDREN
In the United States, more than 1 out of 6 children live in a household with food insecurity, which means they do not always know where their next meal is coming from. According to the USDA, 16.2 million children under 18 in the United States live in this condition – unable to consistently access nutritious and adequate amounts of food necessary for a healthy life, around 800,000 children in our State of Florida.
VETERANS
Every day nearly 1,000 Soldiers, Sailors and Marines become new U.S. Veterans. On any given night, more than 300,000 Veterans are living on the streets or in shelters in the U.S. Approximately 33% of homeless males in the U.S. are Veterans. We believe it is our duty to give back to our nation’s military Veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country.
